5⭐ – just YES to this whole book ? To play off of a continuing theme from the book……..all rom-coms should ASPIRE to be as good as this one! It’s genuinely laugh out loud funny. Alex and Poppy are a wonderful couple and the book doesn’t make the mistake of trying to be too deep, but it also doesn’t come across as corny or superficial. Instead it’s a heartfelt story of two people, who want different things in life, learning to change and adapt for each other. I literally cannot stop crying over this book. Alex and Poppy’s chemistry was unreal and the theme of friendship/loyalty hit every single point I expected it to. I’m so happy they found their home ? Well, that does it. Emily Henry is up there with my must-read romance authors. After loving Beach Read, I can safely say it wasn’t just a lucky run or a one-off, as this book is just as charming and endearing as it.
