This was really powerful for me and I took my time reading it a little bit each night over the course of about two months. I also began using the author’s app that she references throughout the book and I’ve found it pretty helpful. Sometimes I was a little thrown off by the author, she could seem a little out of touch in small ways. But overall I found her incredibly wise and I appreciated that she is a doctor and a researcher and can talk about emotional pain from a medical standpoint. It really helped bridge different parts of myself and was the perfect book for where I am in my personal journey. I would definitely recommend reading if you’re in a place where you’re able to make some new habits and mental changes. Positive thinking and focus are the keys to happiness The author guides you through rituals which you can add to your day to bring yourself back to a peaceful and mindful way of living if something has pulled you off course. Invaluable advice for busy minds. Hermione Laake                                           rated it: 5.0 from 5.0
Even the endorsements are inspiring! I have been a fan of Dr. Leaf’s work since 2006 when I was living in a combat zone in Iraq. Since then, I have been amazed at how “fearfully and wonderfully made” we have been created to be. The neurocycle is practical, scientific, and scripturally sound. I don’t use the word “life changing” lightly, and Cleaning Up Your Mental Mess is just that!
